This minor will allow students interested in careers in which a knowledge of the Spanish language and culture is an asset to take Spanish courses as part of their course of study.

Minor Requirements (18 Hours)

Complete the following 12 hours of courses:

MDFL 2321 - Elementary Spanish II (ACTS SPAN 1023) Credits: 3
MDFL 3311 - Intermediate Spanish I (ACTS SPAN 2013) Credits: 3
MDFL 3321 - Intermediate Spanish II Credits: 3
MDFL 3331 - Advanced Conversational Spanish Credits: 3

Additional Requirements

Select six additional hours of Spanish courses, excluding MDFL 2311 Elementary Spanish I

MDFL 2600 - Directed Study in Spanish Credits: 6
MDFL 3340 - Iberian Peninsula Civilization Credits: 3
MDFL 3350 - Latin American Civilization Credits: 3
