Accounting Minor

The Department of Accounting offers a minor in Accounting to students wishing to develop accounting skills and knowledge.

Minor Requirements

The minor in accounting requires a Minimum of eighteen (18) semester hours and includes the following:

ACCT 2312 - Principles of Financial Accounting I Credits: 3
ACCT 2324 - Principles of Management Accounting II Credits: 3
ACCT 3312 - Intermediate Accounting I Credits: 3
ACCT 3322 - Intermediate Accounting II Credits: 3

Six hours of electives (any two of the courses listed below)

ACCT 4331 - Advanced Accounting I Credits: 3
ACCT 4332 - Advanced Accounting II Credits: 3
ACCT 4341 - Cost Accounting Credits: 3
ACCT 4330 - Accounting Information System Credits: 3
ACCT 4320 - Auditing I Credits: 3
ACCT 3320 - Income Tax Accounting I Credits: 3
ACCT 3330 - Income Tax Accounting II Credits: 3
ACCT 4325 - Accounting for Nonprofit Organizations Credits: 3

Total Hours: 18
