The curriculum in poultry science provides an educational pathway leading to a B.S. degree in agriculture-poultry science option from UAPB and a certificate of excellence in Poultry Science from U of A Fayetteville. It provides students with basic knowledge of the science of farm animals with a focus on poultry production in their senior year at U of A.
Goals:
- To provide students with the basic knowledge of animal and poultry production
- To provide students with knowledge and skills needed to secure employment with the poultry industries as well as agriculture-related government agencies
- To prepare students for graduate study in animal science
