PSYC 4311 - Stress, Health, And DiseaseCredits: 3 Prerequisites: Prerequisites: PSYC 2300 ; PSYC 4301 or equivalent research methods course. This course will introduce students to the role stress plays in health and disease. Topics covered include defining and measuring stress, coping with stress, the relationship between stress and disease (e.g., cardiovascular disease, asthma, cancer, infectious illness), the pathophysiology of stress, and current issues and controversies in stress research.
