BIOL 3312 - Computational SciencesCredits: 3 This course offers students, advanced topics in the discipline of computational sciences (CS), in departments of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, and Computer Science. Students understand the role and application of CS in learning and research, to improve their data collection, management, and analysis skills. This course is divided into multiple disciplinary sections team-taught by interdisciplinary faculty during the semester; in the first section, students are introduced to CS tools and learning how to apply those tools to complex problem-solving and scientific discovery using high-performance computing resources.
Lecture: 1 hr. Lecture Laboratory: 2 hrs. Lab
