GASP 5331 - Dual Diagnosis The course provides a comprehensive study of co-occurring substance use and other psychiatric disorders. Students become familiar with using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition (DSM-5) to complete substance use assessments and diagnoses of individuals. Students gain knowledge and skills of client referral, crisis management, treatment planning, documentation and professional consultation.
