CHEM 3321 - Organic Chemistry II LectureCredits: 3 Prerequisites: Prerequisites: CHEM 3111 - Organic Chemistry I Laboratory and CHEM 3311 - Organic Chemistry I Lecture . This course is a continuation of CHEM 3311 - Organic Chemistry I Lecture .The following topics are covered: Properties, reactions and synthesis of Alcohols, Diols and Thiols, Ethers, Epoxides and Sulfides, Oxidation-Reduction and Organometallic compounds, Conjugated unsaturated system, Properties and reaction of aromatic compounds, Aldehydes and Ketones, Aldol reactions, Carboxylic acids, Enolate ions, Amines, and Phenols.
Lecture: Lecture requires 3-contact hours per week.
